Record a Story - Reading for Steamy Audio
We are looking for men and women to read and record stories for Steamy Audio. People who will bring the words and worlds of our authors to life;. actors, actresses, people with a passion for words. Listening is different from reading silently. We desire our stories to become unique visions, blends of author, narrator and listener.
We plan on recording the stories in a professional recording studio in the Boston area that is easily accessible by public transportation
This is not financially lucrative. Studio time is paid (poorly), rehearsal time, etc is not paid. If you are an acting student, it may be good professional experience. We hope it will be fun. It will also be work.
You will need to audition, meet with someone from Steamy Audio. We will meet in public. This is all very above board and business like - maybe at a Starbucks or some similar place. Plan on coming with a fiction piece of 500 - 800 words to read, not erotica. It should be a piece you are familiar and comfortable with. We will probably record at least a portion of your audition with a portable recorder, so we can remember your voice.
There will be a couple of rehearsals, times we go over the story with you. Then there will be time in the recording studio. It won't be a lot of time, probably only a couple of hours, and some of that will be waiting for others to finish their stories. . If you are reading several stories it may involve more time in the studio. As we said, you're not going to get rich off of this. We will give you a copy of the finished recording.
Our stories are sexually explicit. You must be 18 or older to record them. You shouldn't even be on this page if you are under age. Please leave if you are. Pseudonyms are, of course, acceptable when the stories are posted on the web site. But for contact purposes and all legal requirements, we will need your real name and pertinent information, including proof of age.
